Importance of Dog Training

Dog training is vital to teach a dog what is acceptable and what is not. A dog that hasn't been given any instructions or limitations can't know what is to be expected of him

he will also learn what not to do. I know that some dogs will have problems with this and will need teaching and that is why training is so important to them. Not only will a fully trained dog be easier to handle they will also be more apt to know what you want them to do. Another plus that obedience training will give you is dog training, socialization and exercise will teach your dog to be the family companion you hoped he would be.



Now you might be asking yourself where you can find a program or learn how to train your dog. This is a good question because so many programs are available for training your dog. However, not every program will work for every dog. Not only that you might not know, but your dog does have to be current on his shots if he is older and if he is a puppy he must be 10 weeks to 5 months old and have received his first 2 sets of puppy shots. Getting those shots is a plus for you and your dog, for you because you know your puppy will be safe and vaccinated, and for your puppy because he could possibly exposed to various diseases that the shots cover. I would highly recommend finding a course on training your dog that requires those shots if you go see a trainer. Some dogs however might not like having to go thru training, which is common because some are more stubborn than others. However, you must remember that you are the boss of your dog and he does not control you. This can be set with basic obedience which will teach you how to train your dog and also get your dog to listen to you. Remember if you have children they listen to you and they know that you're the boss, but your dog has to learn that still so that is why you have to train your dog. If you do not have proper obedience for your dog then you might not get the same harmony that you would for his lifetime.

Learning how to train your dog is one of the most important things that you can do to help your dog live a long and happy life. However, you must remember that you're the boss and not let your dog control you. Remember to that your puppy or dog is probably used to a pack setting from his instinct and he needs to learn his position in the pack. Training your dog is definitely one that could become difficult, but at the same time the end result will be rewarded with a loving and happy dog.
